HVNA Monthly Meeting: Thursday (7/26), 7pm

Join us this Thursday (7/26) for our monthly community meeting, from 7pm – 8:30pm, at the Hayes Valley Playground Clubhouse (Corner of Hayes and Buchanan). Our two discussion topics include:

  • Recycling and Waste Management

Hear from Bob Besso, Recycling and Waste Reduction Manager at Recology. He will discuss the trash bin situation on Patricia’s Green and in the Hayes Valley neighborhood.

  • National Night Out

Learn about the 29th annual National Night Out, a neighborhood drug and crime prevention program.

This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and discuss issues that matter most to our community. We hope to see you there!

Local Resources for Public Safety

From their June meeting, the HVNA Public Safety Committee has put together this Public Safety Bulletin: Families, Children, & Crime.  The comprehensive bulletin lists local Western Addition and Hayes Valley resources for crime prevention.

You can find contact information for a variety of agency services, including the Buildings Futures Mentoring Program (YMCA), Dept. Children, Youth & Their Families, Mo’ Magic, and many more.

This is a wonderful community resource.  Many thanks to the Public Safety Committee for all their hard work!  For more information, please contact them at safety@hayesvalleysf.org.
