John Muir Elementary School Update

Adopt a classroom! Looking for that perfect holiday gift that will keep on giving? Adopt a classroom at your local elementary school, John Muir Elementary! Here's all you do:

Your $250 to the John Muir Elementary PTA, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is tax deductible. Your adoption will place you on our HONOR ROLL of community supporters at our school. Your donation will supplement field trips that support the classroom curriculum. Many of our students have never been outside their neighborhood, and our field trips open windows to their minds!! What we adults take for granted is not the same for all of our families and their children.

There are many exciting new activities going on at John Muir!

November 27, 5-8 pm: Enrollment Fair to sign up your children for the 2008/9 school year. The San Francisco Unified School District Enrollment office will there to answer your questions regarding any school in the City.

December 7, 4-7 pm: Parents are cooking home-made food for sale! Stop by the school cafeteria to enjoy dinner and takeout! Proceeds will fund future activities for our school, such as 5th grade graduation.

December 13, 7 pm: Next membership meeting, held at the school library. Join us! Being a parent is NOT required! Interest in investing in our children's future is a requirement.

While many of the Board members are part of the PTA or participate in activities at John Muir throughout the year, they thought this was both a tangible sign of support as well as an investment in our future.
