Dear Neighbor,

Enclosed please find the slate of Board members proposed by the HVNA Nominating Committee in accordance with our bylaws. The annual meeting and election of Board members will be held on February 25, 2010 in the Community Room at 333 Fell Street. The meeting will start at 7pm.

The focus of the meeting will be on gardening and greening projects in the neighborhood. Representatives from My Farm and Project Homeless Connect will present updates on their gardens.

An obviously important portion of the meeting will be the election of the Board for this new year. Please review the slate the Nominating committee has prepared, come to the meeting and help elect a Board to work for our wonderful neighborhood. The enclosed slate was unanimously selected at our final Nominating committee meeting after outreach efforts that began last year. We feel it well represents this very diverse neighborhood.

Please note, however, that while everyone is invited to the meeting, only current members can vote in the election. So, if you have not renewed your membership since August of 2009, either send in your renewal now or bring it to the meeting next week.
