APPLY TO JOIN THE YOUTH COMMISSION!
Applications for the 2011-2012 term of the Youth Commission are now available!

The Youth Commission is a body of 17 San Franciscans, between the ages of 12-23, who serve as liaisons between the local government and the city’s youth community. The commission advises the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor on public policies that directly affect City youth. The Youth Commission historically has played an integral role in assisting political decision-making in City Hall, and is one of the most effective ways for young people to ensure their voices are heard.

The Youth Commission only works well with exceptional commissioners; therefore, individuals between the ages of 12-23 who seek to make a difference in San Francisco are strongly encouraged to apply. The application is available at: www.sfgov.org/yc It is due Friday, April 22, 2011 at 6 p.m.

Download the application and either email it to youthcom@sfgov.org, fax it to (415) 554-6140, or drop it off at the office of the Youth Commission. For further questions, the Youth Commission can be contacted at (415) 554-6446.
