Hayes Valley Art Works (HVAW) “Art Cart” will be back at Shared Streets this Saturday, April 3 from 12-3 pm.

BE AN ARTIST: CHALK IT UP! Join artist Todd Young and guests to create a special holiday CHALK EGG at Hayes Valley Shared Street! Social distancing and Covid safety measures in place.
Artist Todd Young leads the way with chalk art in the street, as well as inspired craft projects each week.
We also have a several years ongoing community sketchbook. Sketchbooks and art journals are often used to capture inspirations, document the creative process, record ideas, and to share thoughts. We will be creating Community Sketchbooks, to capture idea from around the city. Help build these creative journals by incorporating quotes, sketches, images, words, and designs that are inspired by HVAW.
Come join us! Materials provided & donation encouraged. All ages welcome!

Maker's days are free. Donations welcome but not required.
Previously, every Friday, our resident Maker's Friday expert led a group in learning new and fun craft projects. With Covid and the Shared Streets activation, we've found a new use for our community Art Cart - to bring art and craft activities up to Hayes Street.
