Download (PDF, 68KB)The Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association Public Safety Committee meets the first Monday of each month (except for holidays) at 7:00PM at the Korean American Center at 745 Buchanan. The meetings feature many city department leaders discussing their department’s role in public safety in Hayes Valley and the Western Addition. Officers from Northern Police Station attend the meetings to discuss recent police activity in the area and to answer questions regarding public safety. All members of Hayes Valley, the Western Addition, and Lower Haight communities are welcomed to attend the short meeting (ends at 8:15) and discuss their safety concerns.
A number of the meetings have a major themes where over 8 city departments have been represented. From these meetings three Public Safety Bulletins have been produced regarding Homeless Issues, Crimes against Businesses and Non-profit groups, and Resources Available to Families. Many phone numbers and other contact information are provided on these one page bulletins especially for the local neighborhoods. Many SFPD, SF District Attorney’s office and SF SAFE safety flyers are also provided at the meetings. Any of these flyers are available by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
