Community Meeting: HSH 835 Turk St Acquisition Proposal

    6pm-7:30pmZoom/call-in

The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) is proposing to acquire the building at 835 Turk Street to convert it to permanent supportive housing with up to 114 units of much needed housing for people exiting homelessness.

As part of the Mayor’s Homeless Recovery Plan the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), continues to expand the programs, services and housing to address the crisis of unsheltered homelessness in our community. To this end we are expanding permanent housing to ensure that more people have a safe and stable place to call home.

HSH is proposing to acquire the residential hotel 835 Turk Street to convert to affordable housing with onsite social services. This building has many amenities that will make it a good fit for our permanent housing portfolio including private bathrooms, generous sized rooms, a community kitchen and lounge space, an elevator, and is in close proximity to public transportation. The building is 114 units and will provide housing to people leaving homelessness.

HSH has sent out community notifications for this project and we will hold a community meeting to discuss the proposal.
