Dear Hayes Valley Neighbors,

As the year comes to a close we would like to highlight and request your support for Hayes Valley Art Works (HVAW). Our neighborhood has always had a deeply rooted love for the arts which is why this community driven creative space at Octavia and Lily Street is key to our neighborhoods’ thriving success while it continues to evolve.

About the program:

Hayes Valley Art Works (a non profit) is open to the public four days a week as a gathering place to discuss, learn, teach, and share through community events. (You can read more about it here ). Some of the fun past events this project has offered this year included a series of “Writing In The Open” afternoons (folks could drop by to work on letters, poems, or doodles), a pumpkin-decorating-apple-bobbing Halloween party, and a holiday art pop up and drawing soiree. This art program continues to explore creative ways to engage members of the neighborhood. Please check their calendar here for up and coming events.

How your donation can help:

Developing and maintaining the HVAW parcels and programs is a labor of love for a few neighbors in our community but it is not without financial cost. We need your help to sustain and grow. In addition to being used to assist with operational costs, your donation will be used to improve the parcels that currently host HVAW with additional sculpture, greenery, and art programming. We want you to be part of bringing local artists and other creative professionals to share their work and expertise with all of us, and for all of us to share a little more green space in the neighborhood.

Hayes Valley Art Works through HVNA is a fiscally sponsored project of Intersection for the Arts, San Francisco’s oldest alternative arts space, a 501(c)3 organization, That means that your donations to HVAW to support arts in our community will be tax-deductible.

With your support we look forward to 2018 with a zestfulness to continue to offer what we feel is both a vital and enriching experience right here in Hayes Valley via HVAW!

Thank you.
