In response to the recent violence in the Lower Haight and to neighbor and merchant concerns, we are holding a hands-on Lower Haight Safety Meeting tomorrow at the Peacock Lounge, 552 Haight Street, at 7pm. Join Police Captain Ann Mannix, Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi’s office and safety experts from the neighborhood. We will find out and brainstorm concrete things we can do to better communicate amongst ourselves and with the police to make and keep a safe and caring neighborhood.
