Hayes Valley Holiday Block Party – Save the Date!

Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association invites you to join us for our annual Holiday Block Party!

Stroll around Hayes Valley and discover festive foods and drinks, shopping, and fun at businesses and galleries along Hayes, Gough, Laguna and Octavia.  Visit local merchants and vendors, enjoy live music, a photo booth and many other fun activities being offered during this special event.

Bring your friends and loved ones to join in on the fun!

Live music (beginning around 6:30 at PROXY): V Trio

They perform on piano, vibraphone and violin, but the violinist also sings and percussion is added, giving more variety to the ensemble.  Jazz and fusion emphasizing bossa nova, swing, bolero among others may be part of the evening.

Later, enjoy  ZEROdB Global dancing to a silent beat of a live DJ and three channels of music, all on a wireless, LED lit-up headsets that you rent, while you enjoy Hayes Valley merchants along Hayes Street, Gough Street and the little alleys in the neighborhood. With a 1/4 mile range, these headsets will help you move to a beat as you visit and shop. A donation to artist-led Hayes Valley Art Works, corner of Laguna and Fell Streets, will be made from the headset rentals.

Sat, Dec. 3rd, noon -3 pm

Live music (beginning around 12:30 pm at PROXY): The new Hayes Valley Symphony, conducted by emerging conductor Edward Hong, to perform before the daytime crowd. Saturday is intended as Family Day in Hayes Valley.

There will be a photo truck, Das Bus, das-bus.com, (sponsored by Fig and Thistle) on PROXY for taking holiday photos (no excuses now!) for your holiday greetings.

And, after the symphony performance, the ZEROdB Global dancing will continue to the silent beat of the live DJ, with perhaps a yoga program  at Patricia’s Green on one of the wireless channels.
